GraySynther has put together a collection of sounds that explore the possibilities with the deceptively simple (and free) Nanologue synth from Steinberg. This is also the very first bank for Nanologue on SynthPatcher, so lots to be learned and some great sounds too.

One of the hardest lessons I ever learned when making tracks is that any sound, regardless of how it sounds on it's own, even if it sounds 'wrong' or 'thin', can be the perfect match for a track that just needs a little something extra in that part of the spectrum. Other sounds that you think sound incredibly 'rich' and are sure to provide the meat of your next killer track can be very hard to place anywhere at all and this pack has a wide variety of sounds, that will make you think more deeply about this, some are quite conventional and others are a little bit more LeftField, oops, of course I mean NanoField!

So, without further ado, hands together for GraySynther's new patch bank for Nanologue - check it out, it's completely free, and let us know what you think in the comments below.

To get these presets into your iPad you will need to connect your iPad to your computer and either use iTunes or another iPad file management app. SynthPatcher heartily recommends iExplorer from MacroPlant for simplicity and safety. Simply copy all the presets into the Documents folder of Nanologue.

Thought I’d throw these up just for the fun of it, after tripping over the much ignored Nanologue synth from Steinberg, the smaller free sister of Retrologue.
Still, quite tweakable for a freeby synth, with a good solid sound.. IAA only, but does work with Cubasis & Garageband when you need to record.
    Basic midi in,for keyboard use.
Feel free to retweak the sounds yourselves, nothing carved in stone in there, you might be surprised how, within a few small edits you could get some great synth noise 🙂

Enjoy… Oh & thanks to Baddcr for the demo. 🙂

    Hey 🙂

You’re very welcome, I do like doing these demos!!

Really great to see a free pack of sounds for the little synth, definitely not one of my go to synths but pretty capable all the same – surprisingly so!

Thank you for posting these, very much appreciated 🙂
